Testimonials

"From the very first time Brian cleaned my tank, I noticed how it looked clear and healthy. Brian suggested new plants and more fish to create a better tank. Brian was right. When all the fish became happy in their new home, they had babies. I have had fish for 25 years and this is the first time we had babies. Thank you for your help, Brian. Our fish and tank have never looked better. You are a gem!"

FAQ's

Fresh and saltwater aquariums should be cleaned every 4 to 6 weeks. Ideally every 3 to 4 weeks if possible, going no longer than 6 weeks. When your aquarium is not cleaned that will throw off the water chemistry which can lead to bigger problems such as excessive algae growth and cause your ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates to grow which can also cause fish to die.
Bottled water is what we use and recommend for saltwater aquariums. Bottled water such as de-ionized water or R.O. (reverse osmosis) water is better for the fish and corals in a reef and fish only aquarium. It does not have the harsh chemicals generally found in tap water.
That’s a personal preference. However, putting an aquarium near a window where sunlight is will generally cause algae to show up sooner. The photosynthesis in the light along with feces produce algae.
Generally smaller fish need about 10 gallons each. If you have a 90-gallon aquarium, no more than 9 fish are recommended. However, that can vary on the size of the fish. If it’s a medium to large fish meaning 6” or larger you should not attempt to keep 9 fish in a 90-gallon aquarium.
Aquarium displacement are the things you have in your aquarium such as gravel/sand, decorations, fish, etc. The more you have in your aquarium the less water the aquarium will hold. It’s hard to tell the volume of your aquarium without seeing it. Typically, you can subtract 5 to 15 gallons from the aquarium size if you do not have a lot of decorations in the aquarium. A 55-gallon aquarium with gravel and decorations will become a 40 or 45 gallon aquarium meaning the aquarium can typically hold 40 or 45 gallons of water. To know the water volume of your aquarium we suggest using a displacement calculator.
